Dr. Sur treated me in early 2006 for esophageal cancer. My treatment, including chemotherapy by another doctor, involved a weekly routine of radiation over several months. He was very considerate and kind but strict throughout my treatment. I found the whole exercise of weekly treatments, with periodic breaks of a week or so one of the most interesting events in my life. The radiation did not make me feel ill except the very last treatment which made my chest a bit sore (like a bit of sunburn) for only a day or two. However, the chemotherapy did make my stomach a little upset at evening dinner but it only lasted a few minutes. The most important thing to do throughout your treatment is to have a good attitude. Don't complain about the food because you're not there for dinner - it's not the Ritz but a hospital and an excellent too. You're there to be treated for a serious disease, cancer.
