This is a doctor that needs to be complained asap to the College of Physicians and Surgeons. I had an appt booked at the Flemingdon Health Centre to see her as I was told that she is scheduling to see new patients as a family doctor. I mentioned to the Intake Worker at Flemingdon that I have an OB and I'm expecting, however I do need to see a Family Doctor for other concerns. After verifying with her office, I was told that all was set and she would be taking me in as a new patient. After 1 month of waiting for my appt; I arrived to her office on that date and time only to be told that she was on call. I told my present medical concerns to the nurse and told her once again that I have an OB however this is for a non- OB matter. The nurse came back to me after 2.5 hrs of waiting in Dr. Dr. Rajani Vairavanathan's room, and being pregnant without food or drink all this time, said that the doctor will come back shortly. After nearly 3 hrs of waiting, finally Dr. Rajani Vairavanathan arrived. As soon a she walked in the door, she said that she "will not be seeing me as a patient." I asked her how this could be after waiting 3 hours and she said that "she could only see patients that don't have an OB." I then asked her how she "made an oath to abide by the Hippocratic Oath" and considering I am 19.5 weeks pregnant and making me wait for all these hours! At least the nurse could after the 1st hour mention that Dr. Dr. Rajani Vairavanathan will not be seeing me. Then she stormed out of her room.
