Recently treated my father and I was very impressed with how professional she was.

While Dr. Halligan is intelligent and knowledgeable as an oncology doctor at cambridge memorial, she needs to learn plain manners and empathy. It's hard enough to be spoken to in a blunt uncaring way as a normal person, let alone a stage 4 cancer patient. While I expect truth and no sugar coating, I'd like care and concern and a more thoughtful way of saying things . She's made me feel I don't matter several times. Practically gave me heck for asking for my pain meds to be refilled. Made me feel an inconvenience for speaking of a 2 week stomach ache . Hasn't cared about my pain on several visits and has made me want to either cry and or be angry with her for her blunt condescending speech . I'm not a cry baby , nor a complainer . I'd like my cancer and health issues to matter to the doctor I'm speaking with . I wish to avoid her going forward so I can stop feeling worse after seeing her. Luckily I don't have to see her often. At first I thought it was just me until a friend whose mother had stage 4 cancer as well told me the blunt disgusting way they were spoken to . Just because you know your profession, doesn't give you the right to be rude . Ever
