Very rude. Thinks highly of himself. He has never once believed a word of what I said to be true, without any reason to doubt me. I'm unsure if his opinion of me was that I was lying or stupid or both. Informed me that he was going to ask my specialist about me to see if what I was saying was true, although he called it, "Just to see how [the specialist] thinks you are doing." Even if the patient records department at another hospital is the reason for not having my previous medical history, Dr. Nguyen and the secretary imply that I have given them the wrong hospital name or I am lying about receiving past treatment. Upon calling said hospital, this department employee readily admitted to me that it is this department's issue because a new method of storing the data was implemented so that not all older data was transferred. I am not sure why Dr. Nguyen finds it necessary to doubt his patients. Initially I thought it was because he was a control freak but now I just think he has poor social skilIs. I don't find the secretary to be knowledgeable. I usually have to spell the words for her since she obviously has no idea what the condition I am inquiring about is. I think that I would be better off with a nurse practitioner.

Since Dr. Nguyen came to Alexandria, he has worked hard to address the issues I have, and his referrals have been excellent choices for me. His compassion is outstanding, he does what he can to make sure pain and other symptoms are are minimized until appointments with referred specialists can be made.. When he can't be seen in short time, he ensures that his patients know where they can go to see a doctor at evening clinics. This group of other doctors have your records available to them, which saves time and waiting much longer in the emergency room.. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor, at this time in my life.

Unreachable at best. Multiple requests for medication renewal from pharmacy that go unanswered. Unorganized and offers little support to his patients. If it wasn’t for his staff he’d be lost.
