I was denied treatment by Dr. Thiara in 2012 because she said she exclusively provides treatment for women only. At the time I was extremely sick and she was the only doctor I could see on such short notice. I was very hurt to find out that I was being turned away because I was a man and not a woman. It has always been my level of understanding that doctors swear an oath to help those in need. Evidently this does not apply to Dr. Thiara.
