I assume inappropriate offensive comments do not include negative ones. If this is the case then what good is this rating system. Unfortunately a person who conducts a business is at the mercy of those who serve as their front line. Unfortunately I was unable to keep my first appointment. After a very stressful day at a track and field meet where one of my students suffered a coronary event which left him unresponsive to CPR for 20 minutes until the paramedics arrived I was so distraught that I left all the contact info at school. I therefore was unable to call or even locate Dr. Palumbo's office, even driving up and down the street trying to locate it for 20 minutes. I decided to go home and call to explain. When I arrived there was a very rude and inconsiderate message on my machine telling me that since I missed my first appointment, I was not the type of person Dr. Palumbo would want as a patient. There was no indication what so ever that there had been any thought to any reasonable excuse for missing my appointment. I could have had an accident, my child may needed to have emergency care , or a student could have suffered a coronary event. I did call to explain but the receptionist was so rude and condescending as well as not the slightest bit interested in why I missed the appointment. This to me shows a very real lack of care. Rather than take a positive approach and assume that people are decent and only miss appointment for extenuating circumstances, the staff took a negative, thoughtless approach and assumed I was a terrible person not worthy of their time. I am saddened that this is the type of care a new doctor would wish to represent herself by. And...if my guess is correct no one will ever read this note because god forbid someone criticize a doctor.

Had an unusual situation that was potentially embaressing and Dr. Palumbo made it a very easy and comforable visit

I have met with Dr. Palumbo on two occasions now and both times she is very approachable. She listens, asks questions, caring, compassionate. Very nice and knowledgeable. I really like her.
