I found Dr Yakout was very dimisive ( like her receptionists) and did not seem to listen to any of my concerns. As a new patient she could not have spent more then 2 min with me before she ushered me out of the room. I had 2 concerns and before i could finish the first she was on her way out the door, when i mentioned the second she told me to come back another time. I would NOT recomend her and i wont be going back.

Yakout Patient

Dr. Yakout, like the entire Scenic Acres Medical Center, would be well advised to hire some decent admin staff who actually answer the phone (you might get through, 25% of the time - otherwise it's straight to a recorded message and return to the menu). Having seen this physician, I can comment: -her demeanor is generally dismissive; -she is consistently late, a fact which when noted to the admin staff is blamed on her, and when noted to her, is blamed on the admin staff; -if you're doing a walk-in, forget it: you'll be lucky to get three minutes of her time as she works her "official" patients in the background, going so far as to leave the exam room to accommodate another's appointment; -what time she does give you, though it's rushed, at least reflects a sound knowledge of medicine. Finally, and though not really related, there's a filthy fish tank in the office waiting room that doesn't make you feel relaxed, but upset and sad for the poor creatures swimming in a clearly neglected tank full of ammonia smell and algae. Disturbing. It's too bad, really. Such a good location, close to home, and yet the complacency of the family docs, and their staff, utterly ruins it.

Nicole

Dr Yakout is my family doctor for several years now. She is to the point and covers the issues quickly. She refers us to specialists when need be and will do the tests necessary to ensure that my family and I are OK. I got prescriptions renewal for me during my daughter’s appointment so I did not have to come back the next day, and she offered I did not asked. I think she is a great doctor and recommend her to anyone.
