I'm aware that the treatment philosophy at Q-C is "patient directed" but as the in-law of a hospitalized client I feel a more practical insight could be realized by gaining feedback from an immediate family member. Letting a designated NOK know you're available for updates on their loved ones condition would ease a lot of their distress. Suggestions on how to support recovery and an equal relationship without giving up ones own voice.

Dr. Kraitberg fell asleep on me multiple times. I was a VOLUNTARY patient and his actions led me to feel so helpless. I cut my wrist in hospital which led to staff treating me very poorly and within a few days a male nurse unjustly restrained me. I was in hospital due to childhood trauma including restraints so I would not behave in a manner that would have me justly restrained. I was terrified of it happening again and got myself out of that hospital. It was too much and Dr. Kraitberg did nothing to help me with anything. A few months later I committed a 'serious' suicide attempt. I was in hospital for a week healing. I had to be defibrillated, had a seizure, and got rabdo. He lied on my record and omitted very important information from it as well. Maybe it was just me that he took advantage of. Either way, I hope to keep anyone else from being driven to take their life.

I took time off my full time job to go into hospital voluntarily to deal with childhood trauma. Dr. Kraitberg fell asleep on me everyday for weeks eventually pushing me over the edge. I tried to talk to him but he would stare at me and say nothing and then come in the next day and do it again. He started a snowball rolling that ended in hospital staff assaulting me unjustly. Absolutely ruined my life.
