In my experience Dr. Barclay was condescending, rude, and UN thorough. I came to see him to have a procedure done that could not be done at the walk in clinic I was diagnosed at. I was told to go right away as if it was not done the condition could become septic. Well Dr Barclay took a quick look from the side and said he thought it was was something else. He took a test (he probably should have also done a blood test to confirm) and after giving devastating news said ok get dressed you can leave. I will be getting another opinion and that blood work to confirm. You need to work on your bedside manner because really if I had to choose seeing you again or the possibility of dying, I think I'd rather die. I realize your job is a hard one but come on, you really suck at not sounding like a complete a§§hat to people who are sick and some if not most scared. You are supposed to reassure and heal not frighten people more and do nothing to help.

Dr. Barclay's main goal was to get me out of the ER as soon as possible. I informed his that i had a fibroid showing him my scan results from december and advised that it is growing rapidly causing severe abdonminal pain and difficult urinating. He didn't even assess me. He said he could put a catheter in me and send me home!! I declined the catheter as that is not the solution only a temporary bandaid. Fastforward 5 days and i ended up at peace arch emergency and the doctor their called radiology and i have an mri appt scheduled for tomorrow with him saying this needs immediate attention and surgery needs to take place ASAP. this is what should have happened with Dr. Barclay. I am very disappointed. Doctors in ER should be listening to the patients and their valid complaints not just interested in turnover and treating the next patient.
