I see Dr. Rizk at least twice a year and find him one of the nicest most helpful doctors ! He works with Dr. Seikaly and if it is something he is not familier with he asks! I am thankful Dr. Seikaly has him as a sidekick. He is a fantastic Doctor!1

I am disappointed every time I see Dr. Rizk as he is not helpful to me and has no bedside manner, and is condescending! I am a cancer survivor, with a lot of issues from surgery, chemo and radiation. I need dilations at least once a year and he cannot even schedule them for me so I have to wait 3 to 6 months and hope to see my doctor (ENT). In the mean time I an losing my ability to eat at a fast rate, and have the fear of aspirational pneumonia. His attitude is when he does an endiscope on me that I am now cancer clear and should basically shut up and be happy I am alive! I come out of the office in tears every time that I have to see him instead of Dr. H. Seikaly, who is totally the opposite to this awful doctor!

A very disappointed patient
Dr. Rizk is an exceptionally poor physician, from a capacity, capability and patient-care perspective. My advice is that if you are referred to him, strongly encourage your referring physician to find someone - anyone - else to be your ENT. I waited in his office for 3 1/2 hours. He spent 3 minutes with me and continued to relay there was nothing he could do until he had all my paperwork. I guess medical school has abandoned a primary patient assessment and listening to the patient experience, or maybe he missed those classes. The health system is on Netcare, so most of my 'paperwork' is available electronically, but again, I guess he missed the tutorial on how to login and use information on Netcare. I left the visit with no information about my condition nor a differential diagnosis, no referrals, witnessed a completely befuddled office and physician, and returned to my GP requesting his further assistance. Thank goodness I have an amazing family physician whom has supported a referral to an ENT that is capable and competent. What is utterly disappointing is that he likely billed our public health system for that visit - but did absolutely nothing to earn that billing. We need a system that the patient experience is transparently shared so patients are more informed and able to make choices. If we had such a system, I suspect Dr. Rizk would either step up his game or find a new line of employment.
