Dr. Nickel treated my wife at Emeg. He was MOST helpful, kind, attentive, and gave the RX she needed. From this experience, I wish we could have him as our family Dr.

Very dissapointed mother !

We brouvht our daughter into the emerg where she had a fever of 104... For over 4 days straight. He insisted right away that it was strep throat without even doing a swab to test and hardly looking at her throat . Even when we told him she's having no problems swallowing . He gave us a RX for antibiotic and send us home even before making sure her fever was down. The nurse collected a urine sample when we were there because o guess she had more knowledge than him that clearly her fever was a sign of infection somewhere in her body. When I asked Dr. Nikkel if he was going to send off the urine he said no there's no point and shrugged me off... Before we left the nurse told me she was going to send it to the lab just to be safe .... Well the next day I get a call saying the urine sample came back positive for infection and to see a doc for follow up . We spend majority of the day at our docs trying to determine what is wrong . Her urime tested positive again and fever was still close to 103... Our family doc said there is no way she has strep or even a sore throat, let alone an upper respiratory infection. So now after another 2.5 we have to wait more to find out if it's a UTI or possibly kidney infection or damage to my daughters kidneys for waiting so long . If he had takn the time to properly assess my daughter we wouldn't be where we r now . This was very unprofessional , and frankly im appalled this even happend. Specially for an emergency doctor.
