I was admitted to Southlake Health in May of 2015 for a severe Pneumonia infection. Dr. Zafar was my respirologist and was fantastic. I was intubated and sedated for 8 days and he was right there when I woke up with a calming and soothing voice. Helping me through a very tough time in my life. He was more than willing to take the time to help me with answers to questions I had and he never left the room until he was sure I was ok and understood what was happening with me. Very professional and understanding.Great DR.!!!!

Always seems to be rushed and pushy toward patients/families. Not a great listener; I would recommend he take sensitivity training. Cannot connect and communicate well with patients. Overall, an arrogant physician.

Honestly, I am very displeased with this doctor. I really wish he had shown compassion or care for my critical family member. He did not explain what was happening, and refused to understand the emotional and/or cultural needs of our family. Instead, we had to resort to finding another doctor that would explain. Prime example of arrogance and tunnel vision in the field and I truly wish nobody has to go through what we did. I highly do not recommend. Save your family the trouble.

Absolutely arrogant and does not care for patients. I’m surprised he is an ICU doctor. His attitude toward patient depends on how easy or serious their case is. Easy = kinder. Completely rude in the sense that he does not consider different perspectives. Made the who situation very difficult for the family.

Traumatized us. Oppressive and arrogant. Completely unbelievable for an ICU.
