Diagnosed my daughter with mild autism. Also gave same diagnosis to multiple other teens whose parents I am acquainted with. None of the teens seem to have more than one sign/symptom of autism. Certainly my daughter had no signs/symptoms as a toddler/child. My daughter, and others, went to assessment appointment with a list of social media informed concerns, such as “lack of empathy” and “hallucinations”. She is a friendly, generally positive and well liked among her peers. She goes places independently, plays spots and gets on well with team mates. Mild ASD just seems like it does not fit.
