Dr. Payne is an amazing doctor. On my first (and only so far), Dr. Payne immediately instilled confidence in me. He was thorough, professional and fun. He asked question no physician has ever asked. It was apparent Dr. Payne cares about the whole person and not just the part of the body he is treating. He arranged for a test that I have never had before but probably should have had a long time ago. Both he and I were stunned at the result. It was not news I wanted to hear, but it may have revealed something that should have been discovered years ago. I was referred to Dr. Payne to arrange for a brace. That has now become secondary to the other issue that was discovered from him listening to what I said and arranging for a test before proceeding with anything else. Dr. Payne spent nearly an hour with me before the test was done. After the nurse did the test, Dr. Payne returned to the examining room for several minutes and arranged follow-up tests. I am certain the time he spent with me put him behind schedule with his other patients, but he was so caring and thorough with me, I am sure he would be the same with other patients.
