Dr. Feldberg appears to be empathetic when you meet her but in reality she is just faking it. She has a very big ego/gets defensive if you ask too many questions. I went to see her at an initial appointment for debilitating and persistent stomach pain and she assured me she would do everything she could to get to the root of my problem. After doing an initial blood work screening, she had no further suggestions as to what could be wrong and suggested I 'just keep avoiding anything that caused pain'. I have been on a major elimination diet for 7 years, and basically do not have anything else to eliminate from my diet without simply not eating at all. I told her in my first appointment that I was also having trouble maintaining my weight, and was sleeping a lot. Her only suggestion was a sleep clinic, citing that I may have 'restless leg syndrome'. When I told her that I didn't have any trouble with my legs, and slept very soundly, she got extremely defensive and told me she felt 'attacked' by my statements. From that point I couldn't get a word in edgewise without being cut off. I eventually asked her to leave the room, got changed, and left the office to go ask for a different doctor who would be more patient with my situations and my concerns for (yes!) my own body. Which I do know pretty well. I was told by the clinic that they have a policy of not being allowed to see another doctor after you pick your first doctor. This was in direct contradiction to the 'policy' that Dr. Feldberg so warmly told me about on my first consultation, when I was assured that if she was unavailable the other doctors were always around for me to see. When I persisted and said that she just was simply not a good fit for me, I was told they refused to make an exception. Even though there were 3 doctors accepting patients when I called 2 weeks ago, and I was *recommended* her because she was female and I'm a woman. When I pointed this out, they tried to say they never recommended her to me, and that I made a 'choice'. Ha! If I had only known what I was getting into. Stay away from this clinic and their doctors. I've never seen a supposed Health Care Professional with less concern for someone's well being. A knowledgeable should be able to answer a patient's questions without being defensive and arrogant.
