I was referred to Dr. Altas to treat a 4cm uterine fibroid and two ovarian cysts. Despite all symptoms, she didn't put me on any treatment. I was 32 years old with no children. I felt utterly overwhelmed by the constant pain and long periods. However, she said I only needed to check up my fibroid with an ultrasound every eight months. Three years later, my fibroid measured 10 cm. I started having hemorrhages and having many other painful symptoms. I was also critically anemic and ended up in an emergency room having a blood transfusion to avoid organ failure. My family doctor considered I needed an urgent surgery to remove my fibroid or even a hysterectomy. She tried to book an appointment with Dr. Altas without any immediate response. Finally, I saw another gynecologist. After several months of treatment to shrink my fibroid, I had a total hysterectomy at the age of 36. I'm very disappointed with Dr. Altas because she took my condition lightly. She didn't follow up on my case. If she had given me a treatment at the right time, I wouldn't have had to go through all this suffering.

Dr. Melanie is awesome. She did my surgery back in 2010 and took good care of me when my incision got infected one day after I got released from RCH and the other day at my appointment she did minor surgery and she made me feel better and happier that the problem was removed

Does not recognize Vaginal cysts as painful or removal surgery of cysts as painful. Blamed all pain on menopause. DISMISSIVE AND HAS Never had vaginal cysts or surgery herself. Clueless
