Dr. yacowar was by far the most ignorant man i have ever met. Belittled me as a patrient and cut me off miltiple times while attempting to talk

Yes, there is a wait time, but there is a wait time everywhere. Yes he is busy, but all dr's are very busy. He always takes the time to look into ongoing issues and follows up. He sends to specialist in the field of my problems so I get team to help with my care. Amazing Care.

Dr. Yacowar listens to your concerns about your health and does not just give his opinion as to what the problem might be, but does thorough testing to determine the issue in order to give you the proper treatment. He does come off as arrogant as some people mentioned that was my first impression of him however on dealing with him on a continuous basis I realize my opinion of him was wrong and he is a very good doctor. The only negative thing that I can say about him is that he is often late however which doctor office do you go where you do not have to wait

Been a patient of Dr. Yacowar for almost 10 years - and used to visit him at the Jane & Finch location when he was there, and in turn followed him over to this clinic. Recently, I was trying to coordinate the filling of a certificate and it all went downhill from there. My forms were misplaced, not in my file, faxes from specialists were “never received” despite finding them in other patient’s files, every time I called to come for an appointment - I would leave without seeing the doctor - he was either late, way behind - or people were put in before me even though I had an appointment. I would sit there for 3-4 hours at a time - and eventually had to leave because I had other things to do. I went 3 weeks with the run around - until I finally took a whole day to specifically sit in this office until my forms were filled out. Did just that. Sat there for 6 hours. Was sent a request for more info from my family doctor a few weeks later - SO I had to go through this process all over again to get the rest of the information to the requester... after trying for 3 days to get this resolved I got sick and tired of the run arounds, lost files, lost paperwork- non existent customer service, so I emailed Jack Nathan Health with a complaint (not about the doctor- about his staff - whom could never find my forms or file, never returned calls, etc) Everything seemed like it was on the right track by filing a complaint, I was told to go into the doctors office at a specific time, Jack Nathan Health apologized, and set me an appointment to see Dr. Yacowar, reassuring me that this would be the end of my hassle. I showed up to the doctors office - his "associate" Andrea, greeted me and told me to sit in a room in the end of the hallway and that Yacowar would be with me shortly. Yacowar came into the room 20 minutes later (after having a pow wow with Andrea in another room) and asked me why I complained to Jack Nathan Health. I assured him I was not complaining about him - but his staff, the complete hassle to even get to see him, lost paperwork, etc. He was upset and told me that I needed to pay for his time to fill out these forms. Although I had already paid almost $200 for this already as it is not "covered" by OHIP. He was quite upset and even though he was my family doctor for the last TEN YEARS (have never had a complaint- always recommended Dr.Yacowar) - he acted like I was wrong to have made any sort of complaint and ultimately told me that he was not willing to help me further. Great. I packed up my things - thanked him for his time and left the doctors office. No forms filled out - what a waste of 3 weeks, and 2 days off of work trying to see this doctor. I returned months later to retrieve something from my file, a previous result from an ultrasound. In my file, there was a 3 page written letter (written by Andrea...) stating how I left the office that day - slamming doors, and swearing. Which did not ever ever happen. I know how to conduct myself in public and in a public business. Let alone a business with children in it. Andrea made a nice 3 page report about how disrespectful I was ... Total lies trying to cover her own behind and make it look like I was the bad one. Maybe you should have spent that time you took to write that letter trying to figure out how to run a business efficiently so you wouldn't have to write letters to put the blame on patients for your lack of knowledge and practice. They are trying to cover themselves for running such a shoddy business.
