Dr. McLaughlin removed a small tumour from my bladder and declared that all was well in subsequent cystoscopies. A couple of years later I was having difficulty urinating and he said my prostate probably needed some work, but that was in Sept. of 2013 and he was due to retire. He scoped me (again) and told me he was setting me up with another urologist. When I went to the new urologist, he told me I had and extremely large tumour in my bladder and surgery was required. What was Dr. Mcloughlin looking at with all the cystoscopies over the years after the tumour was removed? As it turned out, the tumour was stage 4 and had gone metastatic( given 1 month to a year at most to live), and after 2 more surgeries, the net result was an ileostomy, so I have a bag tapped to my abdomen to collect urine, numbness on the right side of my groin and totally incapable of having an erection. His lack of due care has almost cost me my life! If it wasn't for Dr. Black (Peter) getting me into PHASE 3 of a new drug study I would not be here. I can thank Dr. McLaughlin for sending me to Dr. Black but I curse him for his lack of professionalism and what I have to deal with on a daily basis.
