I went to see Dr. Sapozhnikov 4x. Each time I was told it was the flu. For 8 months I was in pain every day. It got worse on weekends. I went to Tofield hospital in May28, 2011. waited for 5 hours for Dr. Hacket to appear. told me to have x-ray & blood work done. I all ready had this done twice this week, So I went threw it all again. He told me I had the flu & to continue to drink fluids, but there is hope! He told me that next week sometime I would get a full scan done. By Sunday I could not fight this pain any more. I could not get out of bed, could not go to the wash room without assistance nor drink anything. My husband was so upset he took me back to the hospital. This time there was another Dr. who could see something was wrong & he referred me to Camrose Hospital where Dr. John Fletcher took excellent care of me. God Bless Him. I don't think I would be here to-day if it wasn't for Him and Dr Gurpal Sandha from the U of A. and the kind people associated with them. Blood test showed I had high lipase level of 11000. Looking @ these levels would indicate something besides the flu was going on? I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy done on June 6,2011. Dr. Sapoznikov is far to busy teaching instead, she should be practicing more, instead of sending in a student to give you a report. Saying to me that my liver enzymes are very high. Do you drink a Lot? This is a question which is not acceptable to ask me, I do not drink & liver enzymes can be caused by many things. Like Jaundice etc..... I am very seldom ill, and last time I was in the Hospital was 30 years ago, and so when I see a doctor, I expect to be looked after, since I do not abuse the system, and I am one of the very fortunate people with good health. Need less to say that after 8 months of pain, I have another DR. I am legally responsible for my comments, but is not the Dr. legally responsible to look after me? Thank you for letting me sound off. We have been patients of Dr.Sapozhnikov since she took over her present clinic. We have nothing but praise for her.She has always looked after us very well.

Dr. S was my family doctor in Shawnigan Lake. She was very knowledgeable and attentive during some challenging medical issues. She always followed up with a phone call, even on weekends. She communicated well with my other specialists and always went above and beyond. She has been one of the best doctors I’ve had care for me. I hope she returns to Vancouver Island one day.
