It is both surprising and concerning how, behind the title of 'Doctor,' psychiatrist Margarita Gitev displays a lack of essential medical knowledge. She provides outdated advice, makes inappropriate remarks, and repeatedly calls with statements like, 'I have a cancellation, come!'—an alarming breach of privacy that borders on harassment. There are desperate attempts to establish personal relationships, and when rejected, she begins to manipulate and strain family dynamics. Additionally, her fanatic imposition of her religion, Seventh-day Adventism, includes disrespectful and insulting comments about other faiths.

Dr. Margarita Gitev demonstrated deeply unprofessional and harmful behavior that caused significant emotional harm to me and a young member of my family and to our family dynamic as a whole. In 2015, I made it clear that Dr. Gitev was to have no further communication with me and my daughter due to her highly inappropriate and distressing behavior. Despite this, Dr. Gitev secretly approached my daughter afterward, and caused significant emotional harm. Her actions not only deeply affected my daughter but also created substantial strain within our family. During her sessions, Dr. Gitev persistently and inappropriately asked my daughter, “Are you suicidal?” Despite my daughter clearly and firmly stating, “No, I have never had such thoughts,” Dr. Gitev continued to press the issue, intentionally placing undue stress on this topic. Her repeated and unnecessary questioning visibly sickened my daughter and aggravated her emotional state. This kind of manipulation and harmful conduct was both horrifying and unethical. Dr. Gitev’s actions, including pushing SSRIs without adequate justification and imposing her personal religious beliefs in a manner that disrespected my daughter’s faith, were invasive, inappropriate, and detrimental. Her insistence on exclusively reading the Bible and disregarding the individual’s own experiences further highlighted her lack of professional boundaries. These experiences caused significant emotional harm to me and my daughter and strained our family relationships. Dr. Gitev’s conduct raises serious concerns about her judgment and professionalism, and I strongly caution against seeking her services for mental health care. 1
