Dr. Kwan is wholly unprofessional and has many complaints registered against his practice with the Ontario Medical Association. He over books his schedule and is unreliable in keeping appointments patients make. His front desk staff, a secretary named, Nancy, screens your call and asks the nature of your visit which is none of her business, as it is of a confidential nature with your doctor. Staff are rude and demeaning to patients. Dr. Kwan's regular patients, some quite elderly who need acute care and follow-up often have to wait 3 weeks or more for an appointment. Dr. Kwan also quite often continue to bill out OHIP even when former patients have left him for another doctor, i.e. by putting his billing code on such tests as the Fecal Occult Blood Stool test administered by Cancer Care Ontario. In my case 10 yrs after I last saw him. I have reported to Revenue Canada audit department to ensure he pays his fair share levy of taxes.
