Dr Strang was the hospitaiist in charge of my wife's care. My wife was admitted on a Wednesday night and was stuck there for 8 days. In that time, Dr. Strang deferred making any decisions for my wife's recovery. Not once did she actually ask my wife about her symptoms. To make matters worse, she never followed up on her deferrals. As a result, no decisions were made regarding treatment - for 8 days ! Rude, insensitive and vague, she never fully assessed my wife's symptoms (probably the reason why she was unable to get any one else to treat my wife). She explained her job as "the liaison" - I would have preferred if she was just a physician. I can't believe she gets paid to do what she does. Incompetence of the highest degree.

This doctor should communicate with specialists when in doubt or evaluating pain of patients especially when chemo therapy is involved. I never had the opportunity to speak with her about my son's care but I feel his jaw pain should have been diagnosed with a specialist/ endodontist consult. It is a doctor's job to be informed and provide the best treatment after a comprehensive diagnosis. My son continued to have extreme pain level 12 out of 10 on the floor. The doctor admitting should follow up when the patient is admitted with pain after chemotherapy and fever, most importantly fever.

Dr. Strang treated my grandfather. She was absolutely super and I never once felt that she wasn't looking after him. She kept us updated in his care and was kind and approachable. He was in the hospital for over 60 days and I never felt like he was treated badly or ignored. Once he had a symptoms she treated it as well as investigated the cause of it instead of just fixing and sending him on his way. I have nothing but great things to say about her! I wish she could be my doctor!

She treated my father for gall stones, rather she watched as he suffered from gall stones for days. I suspect doctors like her are precisely why McMaster altered their admission criteria. Horrible bedside manner and just overall an incredibly rude and insensitive individual. Zero empathy. The world needs fewer doctors like these.
