My mother was being treated for cancer at Sunnybrook. Dr. Given was filling in for Dr. Kupets. Dr. Gien didn't pay much attention to the fact that my mother was having trouble breathing. She just told me to take my mother home and put her to sleep. She only arranged for an X-ray after I insisted. She set it up for four weeks later when it should have been done as an emergency. My mother was admitted to Scarborough General Hospital with water in her lungs. My mother died about a week later. Dr. Gien couldn't care less. We didn't even get condolences from Sunnybrook or any of the staff there. I don't think Dr. Gien should be a doctor.
