I was referred to Dr. Kaizer in 2011 when I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma. We could not have asked for a better referral. Dr. Kaiser was extremely patient and thorough. We had no knowledge of what we were up against and he took the time to walk us through the disease, the causes, and the treatment plan. He helped us believe that we didn't have a death sentence. Even now, 4 years later, during my semi-annual check ups, he still makes us feel that I am his most important patient. His expertise and thoroughness filters down to his nurse, Barb, as well. She is ready to answer any question you gave and if she doesn't know the answer, she will get it right away. Together they make an excellent team.

IF you get referred to him do yourself a favour and RUN to Princess Margaret Hospital or Mount Sinai. He has no compassion, he is a liar and can't get his diagnosis right. Gives different information every time you speak to him. In our situation we asked to speak to him before he spoke to the patient as we were expecting the worst through previous conversations with him so we wanted to be able to tell our parent in a way that would be compassionate and hopeful as they were dealing with depression as we had told him. Once we received the information which wasn't as bad as we anticipated he insisted on talking to the patient and said he would deliver the information in way that would not alarm them as he said there was no concern at the moment and therefore not necessary to reveal certain findings. He did the complete opposite and caused undue distress. He lied to our family and caused our parent much distress and unnecessary grief as well as caused our whole family turmoil once again. Terrible Oncologist!
