Janice Dow
I was at Leamington hospital on Wednesday, Feb 28th at 6:45 am. Was called in at 8:30am and seen by Dr.Atwood. She was very agressive asking me questions about my condition and would not let me elaborate. She was very dismissive as I tried to explain that I was on Amoxicillan for the past 3 days and my throat and chest pain was getting worse. She was only interested in the fact that I was on mono thyroid and metformin medication. She asked me if Iwas diabetic and I said no, I am on a weight loss program with my doctor and she kept insinuating that I was diabetic. She started asking me questions about my blood levels and numbers and I said I do not know what that means. She rolled her eyes at me! Then proceeded to look at my throat and used a stethascope on me. She said everything is clear and your throat is ok. I was confused, I said I cannot breath, I am in pain. She said just take ibuprofen and to not bother finishing my amoxicillan. I said well I do not agree. She said then, " Do you know how many of these cases I see a day???" She was so rude! I left crying and drove to Essex clinic where I initially got my amoxicillan and the doctor there was in shock after I told him what I just went through. He said your throat is swollen and extremely red, did she even look at it? I said yes. He perscribed me Biaxin and it has been 4hrs since I took it and already bringing up mucus and feeling better. I will never go back to Leamington hospital again! Disgusting!
