Dr. Cerny was my attending physician at RGH. I can say, without equivocation, I would be dead today without her. I had been in hospital 8 times in 12 days. In my drug confused haze I only saw the overdoses: I guess I'd been told every time I was suffering serious viral pneumonia but I never heard it. I bailed every time until she was my attending, I always needed my next fix. She never 'formed' me although she could have. She kept me there by respect and caring. She saw past the addict on her table and treated me with respect and genuine care. At the highest point of COVID 19, the Max of the epidemic, she had a patient, 'bottom of the deck', and just saw a suffering patient. She ensured. when I was past life threatening pneumonia, that I received counselling services. She took a 'pneumonia' patient, detoxed him, handed him over to additional services and helped a 'hopeless' drug addict obtain 18 months of sober and productive living. I am now an Oil field consultant, well respected because she showed me nothing but respect and expert medical care.

Dr. Cerny was mom's Dr. at the Rockyview after mom was admitted in late Nov. 2022. with the Flu and pneumonia , once mom was cleared from that she told me mom was a 2 person assist and can't go home. I told her I'm looking into increasing the # of caregivers coming to the home and renting a portable lift as at the time I knew mom would benefit from being back home in familiar surroundings and in her own bed. Dr. Cerny refused and refused to listen to me or take into consideration the wishes of mom and family. As a result of Dr. Cerny's incompatance and cold uncaring attitude mom's health quickly got worse as mom basically gave up knowing Dr. Cerny refused to let her go home and she passed away in hospital without seeing her home or cat again. I personally hold Dr. Cerny responsible.

Dr. Cerny and the staff at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital treated me with the utmost professionalism. Everyone took the time to talk to me and explain what was going on. Thanks so much for all the professionalism and effort.
