He might be a good surgeon but he has no time for his patients. Does not explain the procedure. Did not see myself or my family after my surgery. Did not follow up with me, did not provide adequate pain control. Showed no compassion or professionalism at all. His secretary is extremely rude and unhelpful. Zero compassion flexibility or understanding. Dreadful experience.

Dr. Al-Shakman was very professional and did a wonderful job on my knee replacement. There was very thorough follow-up after the procedure and I am very pleased with the results. The personnel in his office was always courteous and helpful.

Dr. Al Shakman gave thorough and detailed explanations of my condition and treated me with injections into my knees prior to my bilateral knee replacement surgery. He has always been friendly, professional, provided follow-up and my outcome has been truly exceptional! At 4 weeks post-op I am walking mostly without aides of any kind, have been shopping to Costco for an hour yesterday, and am virtually pain free. My physio therapy pros are amazed at my range in both knees! Friends and family are singing his praises as they to are amazed at my progress. His reception staff are very knowledgeable, provide great packages of information and managed all the myriad details involved in setting up ORs, staff, info, etc with efficiency. Very happy!!

4 years ago I broke my Rt. Wrist while away. I went to emerg and met Dr. AlShackman from start to finish he was very professional and did surgery right away. I have not had any post op concerns. A few months ago I broke my Lt. Ankle (tibia and fibula) Dr. Al Shackman was on call in emerg. He treated me very professionally, got me into surgery as quickly as possible. Post op care was efficient and professional. To date no issues. I had plates and screws in my arm and leg. No issues. Recovery was uneventful. I can honestly say I was so happy that Dr. Al Shackman was on call and was my surgeon.
