I can highly recommend Dr. Driver as an excellent psychiatrist. She is now seeing me as an outpatient at the Victoria Mental Health clinic here in Victoria, BC. I suffer from the so-called Bipolar Affective Disorder. Although Dr. Drive specializes in treat schizophrenia, she took me on as a patient when admitted to the Patient Care Centre at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Now she is seeing me once a month as a recovering client. I find her very compassionate, friendly, & she also has a great sense of humour! She is a very likeable woman! And she seems to be highly competent with her prescribing of drugs. I am very greatful to have her for a doctor! Although I am still skeptical about the so-called bipolar diagnosis, & I know that psychiatric drugs can be very dangerous, I feel as though I am in about the best care possible here in Victoria, B.C. Thank the Great Spirit for Dr. Kelly Driver! MJR

A Caregiver

Dr Driver made a very quick diagnosis that was based on incomplete information. An attempt to discuss additional symptoms and history was totally blocked by Dr Driver who didn't think it necessary. I found her to be arrogant, condescending and unwilling to even consider that her opinion was not 100% correct. She wants me to agree with her because she says so... how can I understand her position without any kind of discussion? Re the rating questions...she was not always late, but I found her assistance to be totally unreliable.

MJ Rogers March 25, 2018 I can highly recommend Dr. Kelly Driver. She is an excellent & very competent psychiatrist! I have been under her very professional care for three & one half years now here in Victoria, BC, both as an inpatient at the Royal Jubilee Hospital Patient Care Centre, & as an outpatient at the RJH Mental Health Centre. Although I gave her a really hard time at first, she has never given up on me. I have had eleven other shrinks & two who were practicing QUACKERY. One QUACK had me on five drugs where all the professionals thought I had DEMENTIA! Three of them had misdiagnosed me. I knew that if I had any mental disorder at all, it had to be Bipolar disorder, because that was what the top RJH mood specialist had concluded back in 1996, after her very lengthy & thorough investigation. I am very grateful that Dr. Driver took the time/energy to read through my old records, & where she also concluded that it must be Bipolar I disorder & not Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective disorder. Dr. Driver has doctored me through an acute manic episode, a long hypomanic period, & a long depressive episode. Thanks to Dr. Kelly Driver, I have been experiencing really good mental health! Bipolar disorder & having to take psychotropic drugs, is extremely difficult to deal with however, with the support of a wonderful psychiatrist it makes this mental health journey much easier to carry on with. Dr. Driver is a very nice, caring, compassionate, warm, soft-spoken, empathetic, intuitive, & likeable person. She is a great listener & has a great sense of humour. She is very knowledgeable about psychotropic drugs, & I trust her 100 %. Although I had given up on conventional psychiatry back in 2013 - the Year of the DEMENTIA, Dr. Driver incorporates some holistic doctoring also. which I really appreciate. I am very grateful to have her as my follow-up psychiatrist! I really appreciate all that she has done for me over the years!!!
