He used to practice at Seneca College for students. Seemed to me that for him, a patient is just a number. He's someone who enjoys the dominance his profession gives him over a patient who's come to feel good. Likes to rush and talks down constantly.

Dr. Isenberg, thorough and great bedside manner. Extremely thorough and will probe for issues and spend the required time you need. His caution though warranted can make him seem a little shaky but he double checks little details to be 100% sure of required diagnostics. As the clinic is very busy expect to spend a little extra time, reliability of service is also difficult to deal with for most working individuals as this is a community health centre. As with most doctors, Dr. Isenberg holds to standard practices and will not take experimental risks.

Dr Isenberg is a deceptively bad doctor. I say this because, like other salaried doctors at community health centres, he spends a lot of time with each patient, but quantity does not equal quality here. He focuses on issues that interest him, and pushes treatment options he prefers. He has no problem ignoring: your history, the opinion of every specialist you have ever seen, the impact of your health issues on your quality of life, and even serious and complex health issues. He literally will work hard to try to justify undermining your entire history. You saw ten doctors who all said one thing? Well, he claims he had a five minute conversation about you with another doctor who said the opposite. Never mind that he cherry-picked the facts to discuss; you are simply out of luck. When I realized he knew less about me after a year than most doctors learn in the first visit, and that my family's health was deteriorating, we left his gaslighting behind. He brings shame to the CHC health care model. He does not have a good network for referrals either. Avoid at all costs.
