This doctor is South African. I am South African that is why I went to him. Now I tell you in all honesty. Avoid. Arrogant. Very very rude. Ignorant. Does not listen to you at all. Does not suggest a course of treatment. Shrugged of what was a serious health issue that needed immediate attention. Second guessed me. Second guessed my honesty I think. Suggested I come back if the issue persisted. Bordering on malpractice. Neither greeted me on arrival or departured. Left without saying a word. Very bad experience. Wasted my time and I needed to go to another doctor to resolve an accute injury. How is someone like this permitted to practice medicine?

Dr Bouwer deserves his degree. He really cares about his patients. At first the no nonsense exterior seems cold. But he works for your benefit, not the convenience of your feelings. This was hard for me at first, but this Dr cares about your health. By all means go and see him.

My first visit was different but once I understood his expectations as my doctor and respected his service parameters our relationship became very positive. I actually enjoy his directness and he actually will take the time to discuss further medical assistance.

Very rude and arrogant. Would not look at me. Went through my info ( I was supposed to be a new patient) saw that I have a serious spine condition. Told me he didn't prescribe the meds I needed and I asked if he had suggestions. He laughed and told me to exercise. (I'm fluffy) I did get a refill, but he walked out abruptly and I felt dismissed, humiliated and like a drug seeker. It was horrible.
