The care I received from Dr Yaphe in the ER was excellent - he was attentive, caring and conscientious. He listened to me with patience, without trying to rush me when it was clearly a busy day. He gave me time to stay and checked for improvement 3/4 times before releasing me.

I was at the emergency with great pain in my kidneys (it felt like i was giving birth) and after he saw me he said that pain was not from my kidney stones but from something else. The ultrasound showed that i had 3 stones on both kidneys and he was still with the idea that my kidneys were not in pain even that i told him more than once that was where the pain was. When i asked about some painkillers he told me go home and have some tylenol. When i asked if i could be referred to a specialist to identify my pain he said no i have to go and talk to my family doctor. Please stay away from Toronto General Emergency because this doctor is so unhelpful and inconsiderate that even the rest of the staff were ok they couldnt do anything to help me. Such a waste of time
