I received a Total Ankle Replacement on October 30, 2014. I was home 24 hours after surgery. Dr. Lamothe did an amazing job of reconstructing the heel bone and the replacement. It is less than 5 months and I just finished a four kilometer walk.

I could not have asked more a more genuine, caring, knowledgeable surgeon. He always presented himself professionally, and eased any concerns and anxiety I had about the procedure and recovery. I appreciated that he explained, in layman terms, what my injury was, as well as what the surgery and recovery entailed. Unfortunately these days many doctors don't practice and embody AHS' 'patient-centred care' model, however, Dr. LaMothe certainly does. Highly recommend him.

I was completely satisfied with Dr LaMothe regarding my surgery and treatment. He allowed ample time beforehand and after the surgery to answer all of my questions during consultation and follow-up. The surgery and post-surgery recovery went exactly as he described. He is clearly a specialist in this area. I would highly recommend him and his services.He as a great surgeon with compassion who pays great attention to detail. I couldn't have asked for a better Doctor.

2 years after a fall trail running and being told there was nothing anyone could do to fix my ankle I met with Doc. Lamothe. He patched me up with ankle reconstruction and ligament repair, had to have a second surgery to take out the plates and screws and I am happy to say my ankle is finally back to normal! 3 years later and I am finally back able to run and enjoy all my athletic activities. Amazing doctor, I have recommended him to my family members who have had ankle/foot issues. We're lucky to have him in Calgary.
