I came into the hospital feeling unwell and Dr. Brokenshire Immediately ordered an ECG and found atrial fibrillation. I had been told by a walk in doctor that I was just 'anxious' but the fluttering I was feeling concerned Dr. Brokenshire. I honestly feel that she saved my life. I can not thank her and the staff at South Muskoka enough!

I had a severe reoccuring infection on my scalp that was very painful and the their was fluid draining from the wound into my hair. Dr. Brokenshire didn't seem that bothered and just prescribed me the same medication that I had previoulsy been taking that didn't seem to help. Aswell she just told me to take this other antibiotic that I was currently on. I felt uneasy taking 2 antibiotics which amounted to taking 6 pills a day. When I was finished at the hospital I said to her that these pills that she prescribed I has already been on and they weren't helping. She just shurgged her shoulders and said just take these ones longer. After confriming with her that I was to take both medications she loudly said what did you expect from here just some IV? the following day I saught out a second opinion from a very thorough doctor and he was shocked how she had prescribed two medications that really didn't work well together. He then asked why she didn't do a wound swab on the area. I did get a prescription for my infection from the second doctor. Im very glad to have gotten a second opinion, otherwise I would have been very sick. Unfortunatley, Dr.Brokenshire was unknowledgeable and preformed poor practice.

Extremely rude. Talks down to patients. Inappropriate Well known by Hospital staff at Oakville Trafalgar hospital to show these characteristics all the time Please somebody do something about this doctor!!!!
