My family and I had the best experience with this physician. For years, a family member of mine had been struggling with unexplained pain. It was heartbreaking to watch. We searched the internet for answers and visited other health care professionals but never had anything ruled out. Dr. Silverman listened - really listened - and offered his professional opinion calmly and explained it thoroughly. We have since figured out the root cause is not 100 per cent blood related and we are now treated the real cause. After years of having the brush off, because of Dr. Silverman, we can now focus on healing the right way. Words cannot express our gratitude.

While I had no problem with Dr. Silverman's medical expertise I did have a very big problem with his negative attitude. He kept his arms around my chart, had very poor eye contact, never once told me my results. I hated going to see him. On my last visit he asked if I had had any night sweats which I told him I had not. As we were literally at the door of his office he said - "your blood results were a little better this time" I responded that that was good news. He then said - "but you better watch out for those night sweats that's what we worry about because there's nothing we can do about them." On one occasion when we commented that his nurse/receptionist was very pleasant and helpful we were given a blank look and no comment. My new oncologist at a downtown hospital is open and positive. She shows me my results and discusses them with me. What a difference attitude makes.
