Dr. Coupland is a fair doctor. He is very knowledgeable, he is willing to completely personalize care which is great. Given I like to push the knowledge level of my doctors so I can assess myself, he's actually pretty tolerant & not very dictorial. Persistent though if he knows your high risk. I've have been assessed by like 10 psychiatrists in my life time. One suggested I just take my vitamin b-12 and grow up (that doesn't happen if you are mentally ill. Your maturity is stumped). And after my last psychiatrist, I was not ready to endure another round. He's doing well given my trust issues and hatred for psychiatry. Just wish he taught his patients more about their illness instead of assuming you are intellectually deficient because of your condition. Which is fair given the effects of mental illness. I wish he was more curious as a scientist about all kinds of mental illness no matter how obscure so he could offer more insights about treatment. He needs to shoot for the stars because he might actually offer something good to the feild.

I’m hoping you’ll read this with an open mind. And pass it on to Dr. Jason Coupland. 24 years ago I corresponded with a Jason Coupland on an internet support group for cancer. I’m trying to locate Jason Coupland. We e-mailed back and forth beginning October 31, 1996 on a website called Mediconsult.com . I’m trying to locate him! Thank you so much!
