Dr.Pinilla has become complacent, unprofessional and a liability to his patients, colleagues and insurance. His job as my Oncologist was to review the results for surveillance CT scans but failed to notify me of metastatic disease. Instead, he chose not to read my results and told me I was fine in May 2022, while my radiologist report stated twice in one report that I had metastatic disease, unbeknownst to me until April 2023. The tumour grew to the size of my fist and caused a lot of misery, terror, agony and undue harm because of his malpractice. When confronted, he wouldn’t apologize to me without my family forcing him to. He says he doesn’t do things “Willy Nilly” and this is only the second time it’s happened in 30 years and didn’t take responsibility. How can he continue to practice medicine behaving like this in such an important, critical position?
