Patrick Christian

He had ordered tests for my back. After he had seen the results he said I needed a really good surgeon to fix this problem. He said he would "immediately send out a referral" to a surgeon he knows in Hamilton that would be able to help me. Six months later I had attempted to make calls to his office to check in to see about the referral he said he was "immediately sending". I was unsuccessful at reaching him, or at getting a straight answer from his office staff. I tried repeatedly to get a response for several months after. Finally, after waiting for almost a year and a half, we made a call to the surgeon's office in Hamilton. They said, "there had never been any referral sent for me from Dr. Rakem." However, they agreed to see me. After reviewing my case, the surgeon said if Dr. Rakem had actually sent the referral when he said he was going to they may have been able to fix my back. However, due to the fact that there was no referral sent at that time they were unable to help me, and said any surgery would most likely make things worse. In my opinion, and based on fact and personal experience, Dr. Rakem is unfit to call himself a doctor. If I were to be 100% open in my entire opinion of Dr. Rakem, this particular rating would be unsuitable for publication.
