Requested by my insurance company I saw Dr.Irina Safir to do "impartial medical examination" on me due to the continuing treatments after injuries from an auto accident.I still have pain to this day, somehow Dr.Safir says in her 15 pages report that I don't? Dr.Safir is paid indirectly by the insurance company to do their bidding as their puppet. If someone said she has sold any integrity she had, I couldn't disagree. It always appeals me when doctors grab the low hanging fruit off the money tree by being ethically weak, but coupled with her "cold fish" personality I had a feeling upon meeting her that she may be of" low cunning". I strongly urge anyone reading this to avoid this unpleasant and biased "doctor" and to report her to the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons. I hope she never enjoys her tainted money.

Dr. Safir is not an impartial physician when it comes to supposedly "impartial" insurance assessments. She is simply on the payroll of the insurance company to write a report to state that our treatments are "not medically reasonable and necessary" when the fact is that we have not recovered from our injuries. There were some statements on her assessor's report which I found to be quite dubious and there were many false statements of which I did not recall telling her. She made numerous "claims" to supposedly support that I had fully recovered from my injuries despite assessments from other pain specialists that my injuries were still there and hindering my ability to perform everyday tasks. Anyone who is going in for an insurer's examination with Dr. Safir should be well aware that she is simply doing her job for the insurance company to deny you your accident benefits which you, as a victim, are entitled to. Dr. Safir has no understanding of professional ethics and was dismissive of any pain or muscle tightness of my whiplash injury, despite the fact that my neck is still very stiff. If you've had your insurance benefits denied by Dr. Safir, please don't hesitate to file a complaint against her at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's website www.cpso.on.ca as she does not deserve her licence to practice medicine in Ontario!

Dr.Safir seemed to be very efficient, and was very hurried in her examination. After reading her report on the examination, there are many errors, especially on very important points of this examination. What I told her, and what she put on paper, were very different and were very questionable. Her reports show that she does not listen .....I can recall one or two answers to a question, that she reported, that I had no say in it, eventhough I was asked.I found that she did not have any compassion for you and your problem. She was very cold, and business like. Can you imagine having a family physician act like that? She probably treats her patients much better, than doing an Insurance Examination. Just not a warm person. Felt like a "cow going through inspection." Does she realize how important her exam is? It can change your whole life.I was in tears at the end of the exam, because she did hurt me, while pushing and pulling my joints etc..but I could feel where she was going with this exam. She is just doing her job for the Insurance Company. That is the part that really "burns me". Here we are innocent people trying to get help, and one person's opinion, rocks the whole boat. I hope she get's paid enough for these exams. Does she sleep at night, knowing that she has diminished a person's hope for help? Hate to think that she would be representing me...her manner was so cold and robotic, that I just went along, let her hurt me in her examination.....just wanted the whole thing overwith.I........ say no more. Dr. Safir should get a "heart".
