Helmut long time friend and confidant. You always had the best interests of others in your circle. You were authentic, kind, generous and always helpful. In all that you did you gave it your all. This was especially true in your professional practice of medicine. What a loss to your family, your patients, your friends and our country. Helmut you always told it like it is. I miss you and am saddened for all those in your circle that have lost a true and solid caregiver, friend and advocate!

Dr. Helmet Herbert Groh was my family doctor from when I was born (December 16, 1989) to his death on April 9, 1997. I remember vividly of my mother and I driving to a park in London, Ontario, Canada, near Dr. Groh's office on Hamilton Road within London, and her telling me that he had passed away. Being possibly one of his few (if not only!) High Functioning Autistic patient of his, I have grown to love the Deutsch (Germans) mainly because of this man and my now deceased best friend who was also German from Munich who died in late February 2008. Dr. Groh to me was not just a doctor...he was also my best friend whom I could trust as a child. Sure it may be 15 and a half years since his passing, but every so often, I remember bits of hi office and how he looked. He was overweight, but that is not the point: he was a nice, nice man, and that, to me, made him worthy of this tribute. Thank you for being my doctor, Dr. Groh. May your spirit keep me in good health and happiness. I would have loved to meet you at my current age of 22 and a half years old. I would've loved to speak German/Deutsch to you...you were a great man, and for that, I say my final words: Dr. Helmut Herbert Groh, may God bless you, your family, your former coworkers, and your former patients. God bless you, Doc! You were simply amazing! =) God bless!
