Dr. Sylvester is a compassionate, caring psychiatrist. She pays attention to all aspects of care, not just medications. Unfortunately, it is difficult to get appts in a timely manner. She is also limited by the resources she has at hand, i.e. counselling is very difficult if not impossible to get.

Good listener with helpful advice. Pays attention to meds and makes appropriate adjustments. Many years of great care. Grateful to have her as my psychiatrist.

I have been with this physician, Dr. Heather Sylvester in Strafford Ontario Canada for over five years as I have severe anxiety and I was unable to keep any food down. I went through hell with her. Everything she prescribed for me did not work. She kept saying oh it’s just your anxiety, she really minimized it. I would throw up when I went outside. I was put on some medication and now I’m having trouble with her and it’s been ongoing for over a year to get my prescriptions renewed. She has stated that she has three weeks to renew her prescription. Her supervisor will not do anything to help me. What do I do , this, Dr has failed me. How many other patients is she failing? I told her that I do not have confidence in her anymore and want another psychiatrist and she refused.
