This doctor is rude and ignorant, not professional at all and lacks all sensitivity to patients' health issues.She is rather an arrogant,intimidating bully who works to her own ego/agenda as opposed to the well-being of her patients. Zero bedside manner,no empathy and unwilling or incapable of inspiring confidence in her or showing respect for her patients. Will seek another family doctor immediately.

I too found this doctor rude and would not advise seeing her under any circumstances. Be kind to yourself, seek medical care anywhere else!!

I have had to see her a few times when she was the locum for my GP. I have a medical degree from another country and am not yet certified in Canada, that said I am knowledgeable enough to know what I need. She has repeatedly refused to approve the treatment path I've requested, and once she insisted on prescribing a medication that has been banned in the US and Europe but has yet to be banned in Canada. She then chastised me for stopping it and coming in to ask for a new medication, because I had almost all of the serious side effects that had gotten banned elsewhere. I recently came to get a referral to a specialist, and didn't know that I was going to have to see her (I would have rescheduled) and she spent the whole appointment complaining to me about how hard it is to use her computer and refused to give me the referral. I had to come back the next week, at which point Dr. Atwell said of course I should see the specialist and submitted the request immediately.
