I just found this website today, 11/14/14. 10 yrs today, Have now passed since Dr. Hoffman's passing. And I did not find out that he had passed away until April 05 several months after he had passed away. So firstly I would like to say, Dr's Hendricks and Hoffman, May you both be at peace, And you were/are both loved, cherished, respected, And admired, By those who came in contacted with you especially on a regular basis even if you both did not know, How certain people you came in contacted with felt about you both. There are/were many of us kids, That were born in the 50s and 60s inparticular who spent our childhood going in and out of Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Who grew up knowing Dr. Hoffman and Dr. E. Bruce Hendricks and Dr. Robin Humphreys. We the kids back then referred to them as, The 3 Hs at Sick Kids I had Dr. Hendricks first as my primary doctor up until I was about 3 yrs old or so. Then I got passed into Dr. Hoffman care as my primary doctor at Sick Kids. I am very thankful, To and for, The 3 Hs, With love and respectful gratitude. Along with my parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts. The 3 Hs and their staff on the Neurosurgery ward at Sick Kids in those days, Were/are all fantastic people. Mere words can not and should not adequately be enough, Too express my gratitude, Love and thanks, For all of what these remarkably caring and gracious people of the older generations had done for us younger generation. And Dr's Hendricks, Hoffman, Humphreys I believe are all owed, A massive debt of gratitude, By myself and my generation and those generations that follow of particular disabilities and defects, Which of course, Were not our or our parents fault, And were incurred inter before our births. FYI In the interest of full disclosure I myself, Was born with Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus.
