I recently saw Dr Katzberg and was extremly disappointed. He was 1 hour late, then started the appointment, and 5 minuted into the history part he excused himself to "assist a fellow staff member" but stayed in the hallway and quite loudly chatted about his weekend and he didnt want to be at work today. After a 20 minute chat with a friend/collegue outside the exam room with the door open, he looked over an MRI result form I brought in. There were issuesx with my spine and brain and when I asked what they were, or what can I do, his exact words were "I don't know, so dont worry". I was florred, if you don't know, then look into it, and isn't this your specialty! If someone found multiple "spots" on your brain and you were told don't worry because we don't know what it is, wouldn't you be mad? After an hour of testing, he concluded the appointment with you need to see a specialist, I can't help you, he had no idea who I should see, what I should do, or any recomnedations. What is the point of seeing a specialist only to hear him laugh and say "well, you got me, thats a new one, good luck". Never in a million years would I ever go back or advise anyone else to. His bedside manner was dispicable, and downright rude, he called my by the wrong name 3 times, even had someone elses chart at one point and was writing in it, then laughed when he saw the mistake, I would love to see his degree, if he even has one. My G.P had more info and he even said this is not his area of expertise. Save yourself some time and a headache - don't see this doctor.

I have seen Dr. Katzberg for a couple of years. I was being treated for a movement disorder when my lungs became weaker and another neurologist referred me to Dr, Katzberg. He did special bloodwork, more tests, involved respirologist, and even asked for second specialist to look at me before an absolute diagnosis was made. His office is very helpful and always considerate of the distance that I travel to see him. Dr. Katzberg even gave me his pager # in case I had an emergency over Christmas and I did have to call him. He helped me when my GP couldn't. He told me, the first time I met him, that he wouldn't let me down, and he hasn't. He has been patient with all of my questions, my worries and my concerns. My symptoms in the beginning were atypical and for years, I did not have the right information. My disease is not well known in the small town where I live, or not known at all. Dr. Katzberg contacted my GP to make sure that she had the breathing crisis information and so did the hospital. I had to use that new drug last week and Thank God, the hospital was ready for my crisis. Without Dr. Katzberg and his forward knowledge, they would still be trying to treat me for asthma. I would never naysay another doctor because they can only do their best, but when you come across an exceptional doctor, I have to say kudos to that doctor and repeat that I am in good hands.

I first met Dr. Katzberg for a test and he told me "how come you don't know for sure what is that you have, let's investigate". For the first time a doctor did that for me. He spoke with others doctor about my case, he brought others doctors to see me, ... I have just good things to said about him.
