L.M.B. ~ Durham
In the past few years Dr. Sivucha has cared for, not only myself, but also my son and grandparents, (of whom I am POA). For years, my Grandmother was passed from Nurse Practitioner to GP and rushed during all of her appointments. Luckily, two years ago, she was seen by Dr.S. (She had a mastectomy d/t cancer 20 years prior and since had never been retested/scanned). Upon knowing this, Dr.S urgently ordered a mammogram which found a lump in her remaining breast. He took the time to explain test results and concluded that she once again had breast cancer. He immediately directed her to appropriate treatment and if it wasn’t for him, she may not be here with us today. When my son was three months old he suffered from an extreme case of eczema, covering his entire body. We were told by the secretary of our family GP that he would have to wait months to see a dermatologist. Fortunately, Dr.S was attending while our FGP was on holidays. He examined my son and called the dermatologist directly to book an appointment. Within days my son was treated and within weeks his eczema was nearly gone. I can’t imagine the suffering, loss of sleep and pain my child would have endured waiting months to be treated. Dr.S has very kind and gentle demeanor and always goes above and beyond. He analyses each situation from many angles and has yet to fault with any of my family members. It’s a great blessing for him to work our small town. Happy to have him here... Would be sad to see him leave.

Unfortunately, the Royal Centre Medical Centre shut down. But I had three or four visits with Dr. Sivucha and was overcome by his compassion. He did not rush me out at all, even though there were other patients waiting. He will be offering his services to smaller towns, so I will no longer be seeing him, but I will never forget him.
