Over the years I've dealt with many doctors in connection with relatives and myself. I have been accompanying a family member to her appointments with Dr. Nagai and have found him to be exceptional. He's always very calm, respectful, takes a holistic approach by asking for - and listening to - details of what else is going on the patient's life. Since my aunt has been under his care her condition has stabilized and shown signs of improvement - prior to seeing Dr. Nagai her health had been deteriorating, resulting in multiple extended hospital stays. He also spends a surprising amount of time with her, never rushing her out the door or appearing disinterested.

Met & communicated with Dr. Nagai directly in regards to my father-in-law. I found the Dr. poorly informed about the patient's condition and current health needs. He ws unclear and condecendng when asked about certain drugs and their side-effects that my father-in-law was being prescribed even when I mentioned that Health Canada warned of their side effects. He further commented that "Health Canada must have some smart people there"??? Rating him on my personal performance scale of 1-10. Whereby 10 is exceptional and 1 is incompetent. His rating would be a 5 (below satisfactory). In the sensitivity department he is second rated & needs training in this area. Greg
