Dr. Ogilvie delivered me and my daughter & was my doctor for almost 30 years. He was the most caring, attentive physician around. He took the time to talk to you, get to know you, and I never left his office without the answers or knowledge that I needed. He also made housecalls when my daughter was to ill to get to the office. He had the same nurse since he started his practice & she always was willing to offer help either over the phone or in getting me into the office on an emergency basis if needed. Dr. O. never rushed his appointments, and always made sure you knew why you were perscribed something, or why you weren't. He will be missed by many many people, and I wish him all the best in his retirement. He has made a positive difference in my life.

I had an orchiectomy when I was thirteen. After he became my doctor, he was always quick to tell me that it was nothing to be ashamed of, that I needed to grow up and quit my whining...which would always be follwoed by him cracking jokes about it. When I confronted him about it, he'd always start whining about how he was just trying to help me, and that I was hurting his feelings. At the end of every physical, he'd start laughing about "pull your trousers down, time to check your waterworks..." and would laugh himself sick while supposedly checking me for lumps, enjoying my discomfort on an almost sadistic level. I was suicidal when I was a fifteen, after a therapist managed to get me to normalcy, he kept telling me "You weren't really suicidal, you know." I volunteered at a helpline a few years ago: our first training session was five hours were they drilled into our heads that if someone's having suicidal thoughts, the most important thing to do is not to downplay them. Wonder what else he did that he wasn't supposed to do? Totally humilated me as a kid: saw me in the mall once now that I'm all grown up and ran away from me.
