dr.mahlase is no where to be found. i had been calling his office for days finally when to his office to see what was going on and his office was closeed. when i peeked in i saw that there were shelves in the middle of the office area and all the files were gone looked as if the office was closed. His voicemail is full and the voicemail doesn't even say his name anymore....very unprofessional....

Terrible Doctor. He doesn't say anything: you go in, he asks you what you are there for, then he leaves, comes back with a prescription, then walks out without saying a word. My daughter and myself had appointments one after the other and with both of us we left the room and had to ask at the desk whether he was finished with us. He doesn't explain anything about your condition (or even tell you what it is), or about the medications or expected outcomes. I have never had a doctor that does not talk AT ALL...I was very shocked. Myself and my family saw him twice (I always give everyone a second chance), then we left and went back to walk in clinics until I found a doctor. Unless you are desperate I would not suggest seeing this doctor.

I had my first visit with Dr Mahlase today. I have been searching for a new family doctor for a while now and after visiting walk in clinics, where doctors are less than interested as to why you are there and give you a perscription without even examining you, Dr Mahlase was a breath of fresh air. He listened, took notes and did a minor examine. He provided me with requistions for tests and asked me to book another appointment to review the test results and to give me an annual check up. While he gets to the point, he has a calm demeanour and can hold a conversation. Frist visit was good and I am confident that my second visit will be as well.
