He seems to be quite defensive. So it's hard to build a trusting relationship with him. He can be rigid in many ways, too rigid. Wouldn't recommend him.

Completely indifferent to issues, real needs, and acute pain. Seemed oblivious obviously. Seemed by far more interested in provoking responses that confirmed his pet theories than in facilitating the healing process. Publishing papers seemed more important. If I had all the time in the world, I would lobby for psychoanalysis to be removed from OHIP coverage. That would be very satisfying. Psychoanalysis seems cloaked within a shroud of mystery, but it boils down to some pretty simple things. If you are experiencing areas of extreme dissatisfaction in your life, psychoanalysis could be well applied to address those areas. It was not well applied in my case. Not at all.
