Dr Bednar operated on me twice, the first surgery, total success (decompression surgery) in regards to sciatica ,second surgery June 5th 2005,called total disc replacement maverick disk L5-4.This was much more involved, six hour surgery, blood transfusion and under the weather for months. Looking back on it now ,I was extremely upset and have been on Percocet and fentynal 50mcg ever since. I have seen three pain specialist,Dr Park,Dr Mcchesney and Dr Ennis. I'm sure Dr Bednar did the best he could have done. He is a pioneer who did the best that was known to him at that time I'm under the impression they are not doing artificial disc implants as much as before and are going back to fusion. I hold no animosity against him,he did the best he could, remember pioneer,he tried and I thank him for that If only I could get off of fentynal My pain is so much less then it was partly because the spine calcified, stiffens up and does not flex as much Next surgery is total left knee replacement Oh the golden years Thanks again Dr Bednar,it took me a long time to turn around.and get rid of the hostility I had.
