Andrea

Dr. Reddy treats me for ADHD. She is an excellent doctor: extremely knowledgeable, and has helped me immeasurably. In a field where both psychiatrists and physicians tend to be shockingly ignorant about ADHD, she is absolutely invaluable to her practice.

not important

I was a patient of Dr. Reddy for 6 months, untill i was informed she did not want to see me anymore. the reason for this they said is because my mom would not comply with them........and that i was not complying with dr reddy either, which i was told nothing about in our regular meetings. I have had very bad anxiety/panic attacks since i was a kid, but she told me i was depressed, then she said i was bi polar. she gave me a total of 11 or so medications to try for depression/bi polar. some had bad side effects and none of them did anything to help me. the medication that she gave me for anxiety helped a ton, called clonazepam, and stopping this medication abrubtly has caused me A LOT of grief. now that i am not allowed to be her patient i cant get a refill for this prescription, .the reason i came to her was because i have chronic pain from a neck injury. The pain is making me a little angry and anxious at times. She did not beleive i had a neck injury and said it was all depression. Each time i would go for an appointment i would have to wait no less than an hour each time because the person before has an ''emergency'', i remember having to wait 2 hours once for this so called "emergency", some advice is arrange your schedule to fit your patients in equal time slots. NEVER BEFORE HAVE I HAD TO WAIT 2 HOURS FOR A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT,,, THANK YOU DOCTOR DOROTHY REDDY FOR NOT HELPING ME WITH MY ISSUES AND NOT BELIEVING WHAT I TELL YOU!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, but making a patient wait for any length of time is inexcusable, especially if you are supposed to treat patients with a "mental" (I hate that word) illness. I sat in the waiting room for almost 1/2 hour, while she ran around and did filing, ran out to fax something, came back and did more filing, chatted with her MOA, then ran out again, WITHOUT even ONCE coming up to me and introducing herself, maybe apologizing and saying she would be with me shortly. NOTHING! Who exactly do you think you are? Your time is more precious than mine? If you are behind in doing your notes, files etc. DON'T book someone in then. Leave yourself time to do your files; don't make someone sit there while you then get to LOG the time in, like you were treating me and get paid for my just sitting there!!!! Fraud! And can't your MOA do the filing and the faxing? What the #!$@? OH, and classy, sending my GP a note saying that I didn't stay for my appt. I was there on time! And stayed for 1/2 hour; time that YOU should have been with ME! You weren't! My suggestion: If you can avoid her, do so!

It's a shame some people have had negative experiences. It can be a pain to wait at a specialists' office but it certainly is not unusual. I just bring a book or phone to keep busy if the doctor is running behind. Dr Reddy is otherwise a very skilled and caring practitioner. If I feel as though a doctor actually CARES about me, I'd rather wait a bit than see someone on time who doesn't.
